Furniture Finishing Options

Flea Markets, Garage Sales, Craigs list are great ways to find sturdy furniture pieces that are built so much better than any furniture you can buy today in the big box furniture stores, or that discount place on the corner that advertises "Full Bedroom set $900" buyer beware, it only last as long as it takes to get the particle board out of the box it comes in. Once you go to put it together and your screw driver scrapes down to the fibers, your brand new Table is ruined.

Solution....find that special table you absolutely love the style but not the finish and have it redone. Just like you can change the material on that old couch you love but is worn, you can do the same with wood.

For instance....this adorable bedroom set was brought to us, bought at a thrift store and was in not so good condition. It looked old, no personality, just a plain solid light color. We took it and refinished it in a two tone finish. Cream solid color with a dirty brush glaze, and our Tobacco furniture technique as an accent.
